{Our Afternoon In The Clouds}

2016 was a big year for my husband and I. We welcomed our first baby into the world in March and he quickly stole every bit of our hearts! Having our son forced me to slow down and take a bit of a break from photography for a season. I can honestly say it was a very refreshing time for me mentally and creatively. I believe that sometimes you have to step away for just a bit to come back inspired and ready to jump back in with 110%!

So here I am. Its the beginning of a new year and I can truly say that I am the happiest I have ever been and I am walking into this new season with this one goal in mind this year: Stay inspired.

My goal is to pick up my camera more,  be spontaneous, just shoot for fun and be creative. Now that my beautiful boy is here, it's my job as his mama to capture these moments. He's growing up so fast and changing so much and I selfishly want to remember all of it lol! So here we are at 9 1/2 glorious months with our Ryder bear! He has brought us so much joy and has changed our lives for the better! Never have I ever known a love like this.

So we simply decided to take a drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway this past weekend on a very rainy afternoon, but these mountains are still stunning in all of their glory even through the misty clouds of fog. We enjoyed our little adventure.

{Thank you to the kind parkway stranger who so sweetly offered to take some of the three of us. She simply offered and then said, "Moments like these are too good to miss."}
